Self-hosting errors, reproduced and fixed.

Every page starts from an error we reproduced on a real test machine. You get the exact error text, the commands we ran, their output, the one change that fixed it, and the versions we tested.

  • Reproduced, not rewritten. No error goes up unless we triggered it ourselves.
  • Versions on every page. Image tags and tool versions in a box at the top.
  • Dated. Each fix shows when it was last verified.

How we test

We build a minimal stack (usually Docker Compose on a Debian test host), trigger the error, capture the output, apply one change, and capture the output again. We do not copy fixes from forums. When a version we tested goes stale, the page is re-tested or marked as outdated. Read the full method.
